Omg skill does fanart? 😳😳😳😳 who knew? This art is based off fic: Operation: Maid Dress by nykvos or @tsukiyamers!!! It was wonderful and gave me a bit of an AUworm i wanted to get out 😫😫😫 ((The fic was not linked as it is a work with explicit sexual content.)) Anyways lighthearted AU----->

-> Tower makes a deal to keep the cafe open as long as a gun operative works there (more info in pic paragraph). ->Shadow is this operative (Tower thought it was hilarious) ->Shadow only agrees due to the fact he doesn't have to do paperwork and it counts as gun hours AND paid by the cafe. ->Both Rouge and Omega tried several times to become maids due to this deal. ->Nobody at the cafe knows Shadow is Shadow. He goes by Ruby. The headcanon is that Shadow is a black hedgehog who looks a lot like the celebrity so he leans into that for tips. Rouge thinks its the funniest fucking thing. ->The maid cafe is called Jewel Maid Cafe or something. All the girls have gemstone names. Right now the lineup is Peridot, Pearl, Opal, Diamond, Amethyst, and Ruby. ->Rouge was not hired because of Diamond (too alike). -> Point of this au is Shadow is forcibly adopted by wait staff, because they were the only ones "alive" after the cafe got raided. They get a lot closer, and Shadow is dragged along to hangout events until hes actually (shocking) friends with them. ->Despite Sonic and Shadow being together, Shadow did not tell Sonic about his continued employment at the maid cafe. It eventually comes out when the cafe is held up in a robbery. -> Shadow's identity comes out due to robbery. Peridot and Diamond reacted like "fair enough" everyone else was shocked. Personality wise, uhh Diamond -> Lemur, is fine with others knowing her name (yeah i totally know it haha totally). Hates working at the cafe (has worked there the longest). Gives "I'm too old for this" and yet shows up to some social events anyway. Slightly insecure because she's the oldest. The first to celebrate when the cafe burns down but also the first to throw down for her staffmates. Peridot -> Human, Names Harper. Graduated highschool and hightailed it to Mobius to get away from her parents. In college for Law, works full time to afford rent. Amethyst -> Dog, Nickname is Amy, Actual name unknown. Very chaotic/hyper, but doesn't invite others to her house. Cards close to chest. Opal -> Raccoon, Peridot's Roommate. Name is Comet. Also in college. Probably getting a degree in Psychology or Teaching. Pearl -> Rat, Actual Name Unknown- Working to help support her family. Doesn't tell them where she actually works.

Most of this was thought up on the spot, mostly just want Shadow + Wait staff shenanigans LOL Anyway, extra kudos tsuki, loved ur work ❤️❤️❤️❤️

While I’m on the topic of bad takes, there are actually posts going around that say that Peeta’s “If it weren’t for the baby” idea almost worked because of course the Capitol citizens are just like the right wing and so care more about a fetus than actual children.

Funny, they’re usually some of the same people saying “Suzanne Collins will keep writing Hunger Games books until people understand the point.”

Had this dream the other night where I was young again, and Shadow and I had been adopted by Doctor Robotnik and Agent Stone. We were then heading north across California somewhere, probably to find secret military bases to take back Doc’s weapons and technology. But Stone wanted to spoil the kids and give us a fun road trip along the way, so here we were seeing sights across the state. I remember in particular going across the Golden Gate bridge, zooming with Shadow across a beach, and taking pictures in front of the Hollywood sign. Also, Robotnik had on a disguise with a bowler hat and sunglasses to avoid recognition after nearly blowing himself up on a livestream (dream had continuity lol). Disneyland didn’t appear in the dream but I had to throw it in because I imagine Shadow would want to go (and an excuse to draw the dads smooching lmao).

honestly though the funniest part of hades 2's release in our household has been the constant conflict between my partner (a classics major)'s desire to never listen to anything the sirens are singing just on principle, vs my (musical theatre major, songwriter, professional singer) need to play and/or sing all four siren songs around the house at all times

they are well versed in odyssey lore

i have learned i am apparently not immune to sirens if the sirens are ashley barrett and erin yvette

our last conversation on it ended in them giving me a look of blank despair and then going "you may be a useless lesbian, but at least you're my useless lesbian?"

just a "quick sketch" Shadow took me max 20 mins. Maria took at least an hour 😀 -> Specifically her eyes + expression Finally created an ARK sibling picture that I actually REALLY like. Practicing the Loomis method and feeling like I'm getting over the art plateau I've been going through 🙌🙌

Probably obvious, but I think the first picture Shadow's ever had taken Maria had to physically move him into position 😭😭😭 or maybe he wasn't supposed to have his picture taken (illegal space rat moment) but Maria dragged him in anyway LOL
